Traing in Thailand F.A.Q's
How do I join a Training Trip to Thailand? For those of you interested in coming along to a training holiday in Thailand
please contact Kru Gary 07786 271393 or email
krugary@londonmuaythai.com
for further information.
How much experience should I have/how fit do I need to be? The gyms and training courses we visit cater for all levels of fitness, from complete beginners to international fighters.
Are there any customs I should be aware of? Yes, Do not touch any one on the head as this is a sign of disrespect.
Remove your shoes when entering someone's home or shop unless they tell you otherwise. When entering temples females should cover their shoulders, arms and legs. Shoes should be removed. No shorts! Females must not touch the monks!
What vaccinations will I need? It is best to find out from your GP what jabs you may need. Different parts of Thailand require different vaccinations.
Will I need to take Malaria tablets? Please check with your GP, as again this depends on where in Thailand you are visiting.
What currency is used in Thailand ? Thai Baht.
What clothing should I bring with me? Light clothing, shorts, t-shirts etc.
Can I get a receipt when I make my payments? Yes.
Do I have to get my own holiday insurance? Yes, we recommend the Post Office Travel Insurance.
Can I bring a friend or partner on the tour? Yes
What if my partner/friend doesn't want to train? They don't have to train.
What else should I bring with me? Bring Plenty of Sun Block. It is also a good idea to bring Mosquito Repellent. Another recommendation is to start taking Vitamin B 2-3 months before you go to Thailand , as it emits an odour that mosquitoes don't like.
I am under the age of 18, will an adult need to accompany me?
Yes. Anyone under the age of 18yrs will need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
If I am a minor will the cost of the trip or airfare be reduced? Unfortunately the air lines class anyone over the age of 13 as an adult.
Will I need to apply for a special Visa? Unless you are staying in Thailand for 2 months or more you do not need a visa. If unsure, please double check the link below. http://www.traveller2000.com/thailand/visa/information.htm
