PROGRESSION:
Progression to B Class is optional after 2 wins and mandatory after 8 wins.
CLASS:
N (Novice)
ROUNDS:
3 x 1.5 minutes
PROTECTION:
Full protection required, including shin, instep and head guard. Body armour is optional. 16oz. gloves are mandatory.
RULES:
Elbows and knees to the head are
NOT
allowed. All bouts are no decision and a trophy is awarded to both competitors.
PROGRESSION:
Progression to C Class is optional after 2 bouts and mandatory after 4 bouts.
CLASS:
Amateur
ROUNDS:
3 x 2 minutes OR 4 x 2 minutes (Title Fights)
PROTECTION:
Full protection required, including shin, instep and head guard, body armour and elbow pads.
RULES:
Can be fought under European Rules or Full Muay Thai Rules as agreed by the contestants. Title fights are fought under Full Muay Thai Rules.
CLASS:
Amateur (Junior)
ROUNDS:
3 x 1.5 minutes OR 4 x 1.5 minutes (Title Fights)
PROTECTION:
Full protection required, including shin, instep and head guard, body armour and elbow pads.
RULES:
No head contact.
