Amateur Muay Thai is the non professional side of muay thai .
Both fighters wear head guards, gloves, elbow pads, body armour and shin guards for protection.
They fight under full muay thai rules.
In Thailand there are 2 main associations that deal with the Amateur Muay Thai the first one being the WMF (World MuayThai Federation) the second IFMA (International Federation MuayThai Amateur) both of these organize world games which are held every year in Bangkok Thailand.
They also organize the European games which are held every 2 years by different European nations.
